There were a number of generous grants to help financially with the installation of EV Charging and charging infrastructure that were due to end on 31st March 2025.

However last week in a quietly understated email - THEY ANNOUNCED A 12 MONTH EXTENSION!!!
If you have not heard about the OZEV grants - then read on - because it really is money for nothing if you are eligible....
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles has funding available to help meet its key objective of encouraging the uptake of Electric Vehicles - and these grants offer funding of up to 75% of the cost of the EV installation.
Furthermore - some of the grants include funds toward enabling car parking spaces to have chargers fitted in the future - so basically if you need to do a lot of digging to put electrical ducting and foundations in - then you may as well put plenty of them in - so that future installations are less costly and disruptive.
Below is a list of the available grants - and links to the Government website showing the eligibility criteria,
Commercial Grants
Domestic Grants
All grants require that the project is installed by an OZEV Approved Installer.
There are two types of installers - Domestic and Commercial - although some electrical companies like EV Electrical are registered to perform both types of work.
The grants are extremely easy to apply for (most decent OZEV installers will walk you through the process) - and once you have an approval code - that must be obtained be before the work is carried out - the Installer does the rest - in fact the amount of the grant claimed is taken off your final invoice and the installer claims the funds direct off OZEV.
As the new Government has re-instated the 2030 cut off for sale of petrol and diesel cars - and with up to £100,000 available to Educational Establishments, £15,000 per location (max 5) for Small Businesses, up to £900,000 as a residential landlord - and £350 for domestic grants - this is well worth looking into.
We would be only to happy to assist and advise you if you would like further information about the grant or indeed anything to do with EV charging.
We cover most of the UK commercially and Essex, Herts, Cambridge, North London and Cornwall domestically.
